About the Ford/New Holland 3000

Sometimes, the parts compatibility is determined by the serial number of your Ford/New Holland 3000 Tractor, and that info should be listed on the part fit notes. If you don't have the serial number of your tractor, you can find it on the transmission, front upper-right corner, stamped into top of casting. The serial number starts from C100000 for a 1965 model, from C124200 for a 1966 model, from C161300 for a 1967 model, from C190200 for a 1968 model, from C226000 for a 1969 model, from C257600 for a 1970 model, from C292100 for a 1971 model, from C327200 for a 1972 model, from C367300 for a 1973 model, from C405200 for a 1974 model, from C450700 for a 1975 model. Some Ford/New Holland 3000 Tractors have a 4x2 2WD chassis, but there are also some with a power assist*Optional chassis, all equipped with manual steering. They also have mechanical expanding shoe brakes. The type I 3-point hitch is very reliable. It is also worth noting that the transmission ((Continuous-running transmission PTO on the 4- and 8-speed) rear PTO runs at 540 rpms. The Ford/New Holland 3000 has an open center hydraulics system with a 6.3 gal [23.8 L] capacity. The pump does the job pushing 5 gpm [18.9 lpm] fluids in the hydraulics system.

Ford/New Holland 3000 Tractor Manuals

The Ford 3000 is a tractor that was introduced by Ford in the spring of 1965. It was part of Ford's Thousand Series of tractors. This platform replaced "Prior" or "Hundred Series" Fords built from 1955 through 1964. The 3-cylinder engine has an overhead valve and water cooled system which improves efficiency.
It was available with Ford-built 158 cubic inch gas or 175 cubic inch diesel engines. The PTO rated this tractor at 35 horsepower. Optional transmissions included a 4-speed, 6-speed (3-speed with high and low), 8-speed (4 speed with high and low) and 10 Speed 'Select O Speed' power shift transmission.
Some of the available options included a differential lock, power steering, Live PTO and hydraulic remote valves. The front wheels were 5.5X16 with two rear wheel options; 13.6X28 or 14.9X24 - both standard size as well.

Ford 3000s were a series of 2WD utility tractors manufactured by the Ford Motor Company in Highland Park, Michigan, USA (prefix C) from 1965 to 1975. ? Ford gasoline engine. The compression ratio rating is 8.0:1. This engine produced 47.6 PS (35.0 kW; 47.0 HP) at 2,100 rpm of maximum output power.
