More about the Ford/New Holland DEXTA

The first Ford/New Holland DEXTA Tractors went out of the factory gates in 1958 and they kept building them until 1961. Make sure you have access to your tractor serial number, because there is a chance that the Ford/New Holland DEXTA parts you need depend on that serial number. Usually, the serial number is printed on the lip of bell flange between engine and clutch, left side of tractor. That serial number is determined by the year of manufacturing, so for a 1957 model, it starts with 957E 1, for a 1958 model it starts with 957E 144, for a 1959 model it starts with 957E 22558, for a 1960 model it starts with 957E 44432, for a 1961 model it starts with 957E 71921, for a 1961 model it starts with 957E 312001, for a 1961 model it starts with 09A 312001, for a 1962 model it starts with 09B 702592, for a 1963 model it starts with 09C 732031, for a 1963 model it starts with 09D 900001, for a 1964 model it starts with 09D 907332, for a final model it starts with 09D 928248. They also have differential mechanical expanding shoe brakes. The type I 3-point hitch is very reliable. It is also worth noting that the transmission rear PTO runs at 540 rpms.
