About the International Harvester 706
Production of the International Harvester 706 Tractor started in 1963 and continued until 1967. Regardless of whether you initially got a deal on your tractor (lower than the initial price of $6,100 (1967)), with TractorJoe you'll get the best deal on the spare parts you need. You can find in our inventory every kind of spare part you might need to keep your International Harvester 706 Tractor running smoothly. Make sure you have access to your tractor serial number, because there is a chance that the International Harvester 706 parts you need depend on that serial number. Usually, the serial number is printed on the tractor's clutch housing on left side. That serial number is determined by the year of manufacturing, so for a 1963 model, it starts with 501 (IH), for a 1964 model it starts with 1251 (IH), for a 1965 model it starts with 3478 (IH), for a 1966 model it starts with 4789 (IH), for a 1967 model it starts with 5316 (IH). Some International Harvester 706 Tractors have a 4x2 2WD chassis, but there are also some with a 4x4 MFWD 4WD (optional) chassis, all equipped with hydrostatic power steering. They also have hydraulic disc brakes. The type II/I 3-point hitch is very reliable. It is used with a torsion bar (optional). It is also worth noting that the independent rear PTO runs at 540/1000 rpms. The International Harvester 706 has an open center hydraulics system with a 17 gal [64.3 L] capacity. The pump does the job pushing 12 gpm [45.4 lpm] fluids in the hydraulics system.
