More about the John Deere 2950

In 1983, the very first John Deere 2950 Tractors went out. They were produced until 1988. The John Deere 2950 Tractor first came out at a price of $30,000 (1986), but you might be one of the lucky ones who found a good deal lower than that. The bad news is that, like any other tractor, the John Deere 2950 Tractor needs spare parts to keep it running; the good news is that we have all the parts you need at 60% off dealer prices in our inventory. Be sure to look for any serial number comments in the part fit notes. In some cases, the John Deere 2950 Tractor parts you need depend on your serial number. You can find the serial number on the right side of main tractor frame, above front axle. Serial numbers include 433508 from 1983 models, 505001 from 1984, 532000 from 1985, 562001 from 1986, 587950 from 1987, 592001 from 1988. Some John Deere 2950 Tractors have a 4x2 2WD chassis, but there are also some with a 4x4 MFWD 4WD (optional) chassis, all equipped with power steering. They also have differential hydraulic wet disc brakes. The type II 3-point hitch is very reliable, capable to lift 4,868 lbs [2208 kg]. It is used with a load and depth control. It is also worth noting that the independent rear PTO runs at 540/1000 rpms.
