More about the John Deere 4005
The first John Deere 4005 Tractors went out of the factory gates in 2008 and they kept building them until 2014. Make sure you have access to your tractor serial number, because there is a chance that the John Deere 4005 parts you need depend on that serial number. Usually, the serial number is printed on rear of tractor, below the PTO. That serial number is determined by the year of manufacturing, so for a 2008 model, it starts with 000100, for a 2009 model it starts with 210001. Some John Deere 4005 Tractors have a 4x2 2WD chassis, but there are also some with a 4x4 MFWD 4WD chassis, all equipped with power steering. They also have wet disc brakes. The type 1 3-point hitch is very reliable. It is also worth noting that the continuous rear PTO runs at 540 rpms. The John Deere 4005 has an open center hydraulics system with a 6.9 gal [26.1 L] capacity. The pump does the job pushing 8.5 gpm [32.2 lpm] fluids in the hydraulics system.
