More about the John Deere 5525

The first John Deere 5525 Tractors went out of the factory gates in 2005 and they kept building them until 2008. Make sure you have access to your tractor serial number, because there is a chance that the John Deere 5525 parts you need depend on that serial number. Usually, the serial number is printed on the left side of tractor frame above the front axle. That serial number is determined by the year of manufacturing, so for a 2005 model, it starts with 150001, for a 2006 model it starts with 250001, for a 2007 model it starts with 354001, for a 2008 model it starts with 450001. Some John Deere 5525 Tractors have a 4x2 2WD chassis, but there are also some with a 4x4 MFWD 4WD chassis, all equipped with power steering. They also have differential hydraulic wet disc brakes. The type II/I 3-point hitch is very reliable. It is also worth noting that the independent rear PTO runs at 540 rpms. The John Deere 5525 has an open center hydraulics system with a 10.3 gal [39.0 L] (9-speed) capacity. The pump does the job pushing 18.7 gpm [70.8 lpm] fluids in the hydraulics system.
