More about the John Deere 9420

The first John Deere 9420 Tractors went out of the factory gates in 2002 and they kept building them until 2007. Make sure you have access to your tractor serial number, because there is a chance that the John Deere 9420 parts you need depend on that serial number. Usually, the serial number is printed on the top-left of rear hinge member. That serial number is determined by the year of manufacturing, so for a 2002 model, it starts with 1001, for a 2003 model it starts with 10001, for a 2004 model it starts with 20001, for a 2005 model it starts with 30001, for a 2006 model it starts with 40001, for a 2007 model it starts with 50001. They also have hydraulic wet disc brakes. The type III 3-point hitch is very reliable, capable to lift 13,871 lbs [6291 kg]. It is also worth noting that the independent rear PTO runs at 1000 rpms. The John Deere 9420 has a closed center pressure/flow compensated hydraulics system with a 27 gal [102.2 L] capacity. The pump does the job pushing 30 gpm [113.6 lpm] fluids in the hydraulics system.
